Innowattech Ltd. has developed a new alternative energy system that harvests mechanical energy imparted to roadways, railways and runways from passing vehicles, trains and pedestrian traffic and converts it into green electricity.
The system, based on a new breed of piezoelectric generators, harvests energy that ordinarily goes to waste and can be installed without changing the habitat.

Renewable energy payments or feed-in tariffs create jobs by creating a market for renewable green energy. Homeowners and businesses can install renewable energy systems and then sign a contract with their local electricity utility to puchase all of the energy. The purcahse rate is usually four to seven times higher than the rate charged by the utility. This is a set rate on a long term contract of approximately 20 years. This allows the homeowner or business to determine the exact payback time for the e renewable energy system. This also helps create distrributed electricity generation which increases the resilience of the electricity grid. In German, this plan has created over 400,000 jobs in the renewable energy industry, and is making Germany the fastest implementation of renewable energy in the world. This job creation system is now under consideration in Michigan, which currently has an over 12% unemployment rate

In December 2009, an Israeli company, Innowattech Ltd., achieved a breakthrough by conducting the worlds first energy harvesting project on railways in Lod, Israel, coordinated by the Israeli Railways company.
Previously, Innowattech has conducted several first of their kind projects in cooperation with Israel National Roads Company, implementing the vehicular IPEG™ (Innowattech Piezoelectric Generator) along several highways in Israel.
The technology developed by Innowattech in association with Technion I.I.T (Israel Institute of Technology) is based on piezoelectric materials that enable conversion of mechanical energy exerted by the weight of passing railway cars into electrical energy.
One kilometer of Innowattech’s generators along a busy railway line is capable of producing an average of 120 KWh per hour, sufficient electricity to provide for the average consumption in about 100-150 households provided approximately 250 railways cars travel through the interval per hour on average.
The harvested electricity may be supplied to various rail signaling applications and other rail-side appliances, as well as transferred into the electric grid. The technology may also be used for rail data collection (Smart railroad).
The technology does not increase the railways energy consumption or affect the road infrastructure. It is not affected by weather conditions and allows electricity to be harvested near the end consumer.
The latest project followed the following steps:
@ Innowattech’s team is evaluating the site.
@ The sleepers are delivered to the site.
@ The generator embedded in the sleeper.
@ The existing sleepers are being replaced.
@ The gravel is dug from under the existing sleepers.
@ The existing sleepers are pulled out from under the rails.
@ The new sleepers are inserted in their place.
@ The gravel is re-inserted under and around the new sleepers.
@ The cables are attached to the generators and to the pilot measurement and control system.

****Since all the comments seem to be either 100% positive or 100% negative about this solar technology i would like to clear up some some misconceptions. First of all I’d imagine that takes years to set up the the precision equipment for 2 of the largest solar panel manufacturing plants in the world and be able to print solar photo cells as fast as newspaper. After the plant was completed in 2007 the first focus was on commercial uses and their first costumers where municipal utility companies. This sounds to me like a good business tactic to help you establish a successful business from the start. Next they started offering it to electrical contractors as part of a beta testing process so they can work out the kinks that arise from scaling down their panels from large commercial ones to the ones that you can use on your house. That is where were at today. After the beta testing they will start offering them to the general public. Their website even has a place to enter your email address to be notified when this technology will be available to you the home owner. Its a process and that apparently some people out there believe happens over night. This company immediately got more financial backing then needed. Google is one of the biggest investors so I believe its all legitimate. There are two benefits from the use of alternative energy. It will save you money but also it means that energy produced is done so with out creating pollution. This is good for everybody. Even though the technology isn’t yet available for you to install on your home to help save money the fact that utility companies use it to create energy still means means less pollution for us all. . ***** New technology uses cheaper materials instead of expensive silicon crystals. These new solar cells are projected to cost 1/10th of what the more expensive silicon cells cost.

vawt.tk or wrapwind.com vawt vertical axis wind turbine hawt green.
-first i lifted the silo 3 feet
-i tested the propset with blades extended
-i increased the gap bettween the prop and the FAWT bottom
-i increased the gap bettween the prop tips and the wall that covers the prop
-i tested the carbon fiber blades
-all testing was done at approx 15 kmh winds.and maybe gusts of wind at 20kmh
FAWT SILO is a fixed axis wind turbine but it uses lift based p-rops, i have playing with this idea for few years now in my head, i decided to give it a go, it is at the begining stages and there alot of mods still to be done. the idea is to take the air from horizontal to a downward direction and at the same time is to totally hide the proppeler from view.
i am hoping and predicting that it will be 60% effecient VS the HAWT.
the first step is to build one 4 times as big where the top and bottom defflectors will be 4 feet in width.
i hope you enjoy this video and not shoot me down as much. think diffrent……

EnviroMission, Ltd. (www.enviromission.com.au; US Stock Market: EVOMY, Australian Stock Exchange: EVM) is a renewable energy developer of sustainable “green” energy solutions for the energy market. EnviroMission aims to be one of Australia’s leading producers of clean renewable energy. EnviroMission holds the proprietary rights to Solar Tower technology, a large-scale renewable energy technology based on simple fundamentals of physics — hot air rises. Solar Tower technology has the potential to offer competitive renewable energy with equal reliability to fossil fuel generators.
A single 200MW Solar Tower power station will provide enough electricity to power around 400,000 households. The energy output will represent an annual saving of more than 1,960,000 tonnes of greenhouse CO2 gases from entering the environment when compared to brown coal emissions in Victoria. The greenhouse savings equate to the removal of approximately 500,000 cars from the road. The Australian Solar Tower project consists of six distinct phases, the first two of which (project optimization and pre-feasibility commercialization) have already been completed. The third phase (final feasibility), paving the way for the implementation of the next three phases (final design, construction, and commercial operation).
